Contract & Private Label Fragrance Manufacturing in Turkey
How international brands, distributors and retailers source perfume, cologne, room fragrance and scented candles from Turkey — process, MOQ, compliance and export.
Kendi Markanda is a private label and contract fragrance manufacturer based in Istanbul, Turkey, producing perfume, cologne, room fragrance and scented candles for brands worldwide. This guide explains how the process works for international buyers.
Private label vs. contract (OEM) manufacturing
Private label means producing a fragrance under your own brand, using an existing or adapted formula with your bottle, cap and packaging. Contract / OEM manufacturing covers fully custom production to your specification — a bespoke signature formula, custom bottle and packaging developed as a separate R&D process. Both models are available under one roof.
Products we manufacture
- Private label perfume (EDP / EDT) manufacturing & export
- Private label cologne manufacturing & export
- Private label room fragrance (diffuser, spray, gel) manufacturing & export
- Private label scented candle manufacturing & export
The manufacturing process
- Brief & brand analysis – target market, positioning and product group.
- Fragrance selection or development – choose from our library or develop a signature scent.
- Bottle, cap & packaging design – to your brand identity and destination market.
- Labelling & compliance – region-specific labelling, barcodes and documentation.
- Sampling & approval – a sample is produced and approved before the full run.
- Production, QC & shipment – full batch production, quality control and international shipment planning.
Minimum order quantity & sampling
For international export orders, the minimum order quantity is typically 1,000 units per fragrance variation, varying by bottle, packaging and customization. Samples are prepared and approved before production is scheduled; custom fragrance development is a separate R&D step quoted per project.
Compliance & labelling by region
- Europe: Cosmetics follow EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (Responsible Person, CPNP notification, CLP labelling); candles follow CLP plus fire-safety standards (EN 15493/15494); room fragrances follow CLP with MSDS.
- USA & Americas: FDA cosmetic labelling with INCI; candles follow ASTM fire-safety guidance; GS1 barcodes for e-commerce and Amazon FBA.
- Arabian Peninsula / GCC: GSO/GCC standards and national bodies (SFDA, ESMA), with Arabic labelling; strong demand for oud and oriental profiles.
- Africa: Largely distributor-led; requirements vary by country and are planned per destination.
Specific certification and registration requirements are confirmed per project. We do not publish unverified certificate or country claims.
